Crouzet relies on renewable energies

Specializing in electromechanics, electronics and integrated IT systems, Crouzet is expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector by presenting a revised range of products specifically adapted to the requirements of alignment systems for solar modules.
To ensure optimal operation and efficiency, solar modules must be aligned in the best possible way - ideally perpendicular - to the position of the sun. Crouzet's technology ensures flexible and precise tracking of the modules at all times through automatic drive control and regulation.
Intelligence at the heart of the system The third-generation Millenium 3 Smart logic controller developed by Crouzet is the neuralgic center of the system. The simple and intuitive programmable controller precisely regulates the function of the motors and position sensors for a precisely tuned tracking of the solar modules. The integrated function module creates a 2-axis tracking system: the position of a module is calculated based on the azimuth and position of the sun as well as the geographical coordinates of the module location. The networking of the logic controllers in a higher-level monitoring system enables the use of the intelligent functions in the entire solar park.
High-performance actuators The smooth communication between the Millenium 3 controllers and the Crouzet TNi20 brushless DC gearmotors that provide the movement of the solar modules illustrates the ease of use and simultaneous autonomy of the system: the logic controller and the gearmotors are designed to operate on 24 volts and therefore do not require an external power supply. Thanks to their robust design, the gearmotors are ideally suited to the harsh environmental conditions typical in the field of solar tracking and the high loads resulting from continuous operation with numerous switch-on and switch-off operations. In addition to high resistance and optimized consumption, they are characterized by internal freedom from wear, which increases the service life to over 20,000 operating hours. The integrated electronics transmit all necessary data for an optimal position calculation of the modules to the logic controller.
