Measuring carbon dioxide in rooms
|
The recommended maximum value for indoor CO2 is 1,000 ppm. However, this limit is reached relatively quickly if several people are in a closed room without ventilation. An increased CO2 content and thus poor air quality affects the well-being and, above all, the concentration level of people who are in an indoor space, e.g. in an office or training rooms.
The CO2 levels in indoor air can be an indicator of potentially virus-laden aerosol concentrations. Especially for schools, public buildings and offices, CO2 traffic lights and CO2 measuring devices are therefore not only helpful devices with regard to indoor air quality and concentration, but also in terms of hygiene and protection against viruses such as the corona virus CoVid-19.
